Booker DeWitt from Bioshock | DIY Costume Guide
Let’s Cosplay Booker DeWitt
He is also the first of the player-characters in that series to actually be given his own persona and is not a silent ‘model’ for which the player uses to play the game.
As such, he warrants a little discussion first:
- He is a private investigator, ex-soldier, and Pinkerton agent.
- Is the father of Anna/Elizabeth.
- Is actually also Zachary Hale Comstock.
Alright, now let’s get to cosplaying him:
- Charcoal pinstripe pants
- Dockers belt
- Black vest
- Bioshock sky hook replica
- Leather shoulder holster
- Red scarf
- Black dress shirt with french cuffs
- Curad rolled gauze
So Booker’s cosplay basically boils down to a lot of “wear this as you normally would in real life” instructions. After all, most of these items are just ‘regular’ clothing. Simply don them like you would any other time.
However, the exceptions are that the ‘sky hook’ may not be completely necessary and the gauze may also be disregarded.
Note: that if you’re thinking that it’s a good idea to have a real shotgun as part of your costume...well you should definitely reconsider. Walking around with a deadly weapon is not a good idea, generally speaking. Surely, there are very few convention centers that would allow cosplayers to do so.
Anyways, enjoy your costume!
